Help our programs grow.

Help us care for our community through the power of food. Please consider making a one-time or monthly recurring donation to IGI.

  • $25 a month to plant cover crops and improve the soil on 3 acres of our regenerative farm.

  • $50 a month to prepare and deliver a nourishing meal to 8 homebound Islanders.

  • $100 a month to provide 5 Island students with a full year of food and garden-based learning at school.

  • $250 a month to supply a month of nutritious groceries for a family of 5.

By making a one-time or recurring gift, you create a strong foundation for our programs— helping us sustain a resilient, food-secure community and a thriving local food system on Martha’s Vineyard.

ONE-TIME GIFTS

A single gift can make an immediate impact. Whether large or small, your one-time donation supports our mission and ensures we can continue our work of building a regenerative and equitable food system with the Martha’s Vineyard community.

ONGOING GIFTS

Breaking down your contribution into weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual payments can be a great way to spread your gift over time. You specify the monthly amounts and schedule. Benefits are calculated based on the total annual amount of your gift.

MATCHING GIFTS

Many companies match gifts to non-profit organizations made by their employees. Some also match gifts from spouses, board members, and retired employees. Please contact your human resources department to determine if your gift qualifies.

PLANNED GIVING

With a planned gift, you can save on estate and other taxes while providing for the future of IGI. Please consider making a bequest, donating retirement fund assets, or setting up a charitable gift annuity. For more information, please consult with your financial advisor or call our Development office.

QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS FROM YOUR IRA

An individual who is age 70-1/2 or older can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) directly from their IRA to a qualified charity. An IRA owner can make up to $100,000 in charitable gifts to 501(c)3 organizations such as Island Grown. This QCD can be used to satisfy any IRA required minimum distributions for the year. In addition, the amount of the QCD excluded from gross income is not taken into account in determining any deduction for charitable contributions.
