FREE FOOD WASTE DROP-OFF

Drop off household food waste for free at the Island Grown Farm, Chappy ferry dock, and select Island transfer stations. Edgartown, Chilmark, and West Tisbury are currently accepting food waste drop off for free. The service is $2 for a five-gallon bucket at the remaining transfer stations.
Free countertop buckets are available at all Island waste facilities and the Island Grown office.

Our Mobile Market will be on the road June through October delivering farm-fresh produce and eggs.

Learn the basics of backyard composting with Roxanne Kapitan of Garden Wisdom. This workshop will cover site selection, materials to use or avoid, construction, pest management and more. This workshop is hands-on, you will see and touch compostable materials and learn how to put them to work for your gardening needs.
